Pranzo di Ferragosto plot
Rome, the Trastevere district; August 14 and 15 in Italy are dominated by Ferragosto, national holidays in which everyone usually leaves the busy city. Not so Gianni, who is broke at home with his elderly mother. His landlord asks him to look after his mother for a few hundred euros and so Gianni is in the house with two old women. To top it off, he also has to provide shelter for his doctor's mother. It is a full-time job for him to please and take care of the ladies.
