Tehran Anar Nadarad plot

Pomegranates used to grow abundantly in Tehran, now hardly any more. It is just one of the minor changes in the Iranian capital over the past few decades. Massoud Bakhshi searched audiovisual archives for the differences between ancient and contemporary Tehran. He spent four years working on his city portrait, resulting in an image of the city that is not well known in the West and that the Iranian government prefers not to show. Bakhshi had to smuggle his film out of his country.
