They Met in the Dark plot
During World War II, Richard Francis Heritage, a commander in the British Royal Navy, is assisted in his duties by Mary, a young and attractive woman who, however, is a spy for the Nazis. Mary manages to seduce Richard and takes advantage of his lack of alertness to obtain data on American warships. This oversight costs the US Navy a warship and Richard has to leave his post. After a court martial, to prove his innocence, Richard sets out to investigate who the spy who got him into trouble was.
