Le Petit Voleur plot
The young baker's assistant S. (Esse) from Orléans gives up his boring job. He tells a friend that he never wants to do such boring work again. She lets him sleep with her, whereupon he steals her money. He then joins a gang of scum that hang out around a boxing club, but he turns out not to be half as tough as he thinks. He obeys the orders his new mates tell him; he is even willing to clean the house of the gang leader's grandmother. But no matter how hard he tries to get recognition, he doesn't have the character to make the right decisions at the critical moments.
