Staten Island plot
Sewer cleaner Sully (Ethan Hawke) plans a robbery and thinks he can lead a normal life with his pregnant girlfriend. Parmie (Vincent D'Onofrio) carries an increasing burden as a gangster boss on his shoulders and also wants to flee his life. Deaf-mute butcher Jasper (Seymour Cassel) spends his time racing horses and covering up corpses for the mafia. The life paths of these three gentlemen intersect in a bizarre way.

Nice twist on a dead-end genre. Nice humor and interesting script. Unfortunately sometimes a bit too chaotic in construction.

Too bad my previous post disappeared, but it makes me want to write a similar review because I think this, unknown to me, film is one of the best I've ever seen.
Too bad about the low scores. But I suspect that the misleading announcement of "crime" is not the main point of the film. But the diverse lives of the main actors who play their roles beautifully.
The butcher Jasper (Seymour Cassel) in particular plays a masterful role.
The director, unknown to me until now, has masterfully woven the details into a flowing whole. Beautiful. The music also plays its part in the film.
The beautiful images of New York also speak for themselves.
This movie gets the max from me and will definitely be in my top 10 list. Beautiful.
