Los Girasoles Ciegos plot

Elena and her son Lorenzo harbor big family secrets in Franco's post-war Spain. Elenita, Elena's daughter, has fled with her boyfriend Lalo, a young man blacklisted as wanted. Her husband Ricardo lives in hiding, in a hollow wall in the bedroom. Salvador is a young man who has dropped out of the church and wants to start a new life with Elena, assuming she is a widow. But Elena is not waiting for that at all and when Salvador threatens her, Ricardo has to get out from behind the wall.
