Kautokeino-Opprøret plot

In the Norwegian Kautokeino, in the 19th century, the Swede Ruth has a post office and bar. It is one of the few permanent visiting places of the nomadic Sami people. But these locals have a big problem: alcohol. It leads to major problems among the male population, who neglect their work, but also scarcity among the people. A priest from a nearby village tries by force and the strong Elin, who wants to get her husband sharp again, to put an end to the alcoholism.
