Comanche Creek, Colorado, 1875. Jack Mason escapes from prison with the help of a band of strangers. The gang needs Mason for a heist and then when the reward for Mason is high enough, they want to kill him and collect the reward. Knowing the gang's workings, the National Detective Agency has their agent, Bob Gifford, jailed in Comanche Creek for a fictitious robbery. Meanwhile, alluring saloon owner Abbie Stevens has fallen in love with Gifford. The gang takes off with bait Gifford. Will Gifford succeed in his mission?
