The Meteor Man plot
"Get meteorized. Take a stand."
The neighborhood is being terrorized by gangs and drug dealers, but he doesn't think there's anything you can do about it. When he witnesses a robbery, he has to flee and hides for hours in a dumpster. When he comes out, he is hit by a comet that is completely absorbed in him. He is seriously injured but heals miraculously quickly. Then he turns out to have special powers that he uses in the fight against crime in the neighborhood.
