"The Great Broadway Melodrama Comes to Flaming Life on the Screen!"
Housekeeper Ellen Creed works as a companion for retired British actress Leonora Fiske. One day Ellen receives both her sisters Emily and Louisa. Leonora, however, does not like the company of both ladies and asks them to leave. Ellen changes her mind, eliminating the need for her two sisters to leave, and kills Leonora. Everything is going well, until a suspicious relative of Leonora shows up.
