Outrage plot
"Is any girl safe?"
Naive young woman Ann Walton is assaulted and raped on her way home from work. In addition to this terrible experience and humiliation, Ann also has to deal with the misunderstanding of her neighbors, she would have asked for it. Unable to stay in her hometown any longer, Ann flees with her fiancé Jim Owens to another village, hoping to start a new life there and regain her self-esteem.

the film focuses entirely on the emotional consequences of the assault for Ann and Mala powers plays her role more than well, especially considering the fact that the film was new territory in that respect.
At times it seems a bit like overacting, but that in itself is not disturbing.
Her flight and the course of events afterward also seem realistic, although the ending is a bit sugary.
