A Cry in the Night plot
"THE TEEN-AGE DATE IN LOVERS' LANE THEY'LL NEVER LET HER FORGET!"
The psychopath Harold Loftus stalks and attacks couples in love in the "Lovers Lane". After Loftus takes Liz off Taggart's boyfriend, he kidnaps Liz and locks her in a shabby one-room apartment. Although Loftus doesn't bother Liz, she has plenty of reason to be afraid of him, as Loftus has a deviant habit of brutally killing small animals. The father of Liz's friend, cop Dan Taggart, and officer befriended Ed Bates, even in violation of all police rules, comb the entire city in search of Liz and her kidnapper.
