L'Inde Fantôme plot

After being asked by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1967 to make a series of films about India, Louis Malle was so taken by surprise that his planned 5-week visit turned into a year-long visit. Assisted only by a cameraman and a sound engineer, Louis Malle shows the beauty and horror of India. Poverty, religion and the caste system are discussed.
