"First you watch it. Then you die."
Julia begins to worry about her boyfriend Holt when he watches a mysterious videotape. Legend has it that the viewer of the videotape will die seven days later. Julia sacrifices herself for her boyfriend and comes to the horrifying discovery that there is a movie in the film that has never been seen by anyone before.

Poor horror movie. The story is quite cliché and is also clichéd by Gutierrez. The build-up starts off nicely, but towards the end the film jumps from one piece to the other and ends at a rapid pace. Some moments are exciting and it hardly becomes a real horror and those are exactly the ingredients that this type of film must have. The acting is otherwise pretty average. 2.5

I'm going to keep it short here because the film isn't worth more time. It's already a shame that I 'had to' watch it during a movie night with friends. horror? No, this is not a horror film because with about 3 of the most predictable jump scares in the history of horror film, I am not exactly on the edge of my seat. Acting mediocre, even Vincent D'Onofrio doesn't know much to do with it. This is just a great example of a stupid movie with stupid characters doing stupid things. The soundtrack is still a plus, although it is often used at the wrong times. In short, just a boring film that is completely without atmosphere and as far as I am concerned completely fails as a horror.

ai, ai ai .... what a pity this is. It's a shame how this part completely destroys the status that the two previous Ring films have built up. This should never have been made... at least not under the name ring/rings or whatever.
We get a kind of Ring/Final Destination/know-what-what-all intersection. It's really a knit for all kinds of movies. And the makers themselves don't seem to know what direction they actually want to take with this. An extra noteworthy cringe-inducing moment is the end scene when Dr. Snuggels is figuring out what the signs on her hand mean. Half the word is on the screen and every moron can finish it and therefore knows the meaning. But no, we try to make it more exciting by one-by-one... letter-by-letter ... to finish the word all the way to the end. Helloooooo.... 'the' moment you should have grabbed already passed 5 minutes ago. How stupid do you think the viewer is!?
Oh well... when after 50 minutes I thought it was almost over, but it turned out that I still had 50 minutes to go... I should have known better already. It's not scary anywhere either, so there's really no reason to watch this misfire. No, you have to quickly dump this part into a deep pit somewhere to never let it come out again.
