"She's passed on... But she's not moving on."
When his beautiful fiancée Kate (Eva Longoria Parker) accidentally dies on their wedding day, Henry (Paul Rudd) is devastated. His sister Chloe (Lindsay Sloane) urges him to see a medium to talk to Kate's ghost. Henry soon falls for the handsome medium Ashley (Lake Bell). Henry is not convinced of her qualities but the love is mutual. However, there is a privateer on the shore: Kate's ghost still haunts the earth and it is questionable whether it can endure the newly blossomed love between the two.

Much nicer than I expected based on the title and description. The idiotic fact is nicely worked out, the jokes come with the right timing, and now and then there is an unexpected twist in the event. What also helps is the beautiful smile of Lake Bell, which keeps things nice and light.

Mediocre.
Bell and Rudd do a pretty good job in this simple rom-com. The fantastic element is rather limited and above all functional, you should certainly not expect too much (besides some questionable effects in between).
Longoria is a different pair of sleeves. Apart from the fact that she also just has an annoying role, she really can't act for a meter. Terrible voice noise too, so that the scenes in which she takes the lead mainly cause irritation.
A successful joke left and right, although there are also just as many jokes that miss their target. You don't have to expect much from the direction, it is mainly business and functional, although it still shows some cracks. But not that bad in its genre. Not great either, just decent filler.
