Malu Tianshi plot
Shanghai, 1935. The pretty young girl Xiao Xiong is a singer in a tea house. She falls in love with her neighbor, a musician named Xiao Chen. They can see each other from the windows of their rooms, and Xiao Chen often entertains Xiao Xiong through the windows with magic tricks. When Xiao Xiong discovers that her boss wants to sell her to a wealthy client, Xiao Chen and his eccentric friends do everything they can to prevent that.
