Same story as the first but a little less. There are some nice scenes in it and that's about it. Treat Williams did a nice job as a replacement for Tom Berenger.

Nothing against Treat Williams (who does a great role) or this movie, but this isn't a sequel. This is a copy. I actually wonder if the first one was a success at all, which could justify this.

The advantage is that because it hardly deviates from the cool first part, this one is also quite entertaining. Hence the three and a half stars. Treat Williams at least dares to throw the stereo of the annoying snot boy out of the window and at least there is a crazy janitor with a Vietnam trauma at this school. Well, the action is good, but otherwise you won't miss anything when you've seen The Substitute with Tom Berenger.

Shouldn't even be in the shadow of its predecessor.

Although that's not even a masterpiece, it looks way better than this scumbag.

Williams is an even more incredible character than Berringer, who still has some charisma.

Storyline and acting are dramatic.

Nice for a gloomy winter evening (Monday or so) and preferably a bit later in the evening. Certainly not prime-time material.
