Enough.

Pretty okay for what it is: simple, 'quick' snack. The film is all about one thing and that is Drillbit; the nerds are mostly filler. The really funny moments are few, every now and then there is something nice in between, but many things are still time wasters.

I can always have Owen Wilson. Not a top actor, but someone who has/can set up a stupid head and can handle things monotonously. It's kind of over-the-top which I like.

Bite-swallow-away.

2.5

Friendly.

Drillbit Taylor is a nice fresh film that seems to be made for entertainment only. It is therefore a very logical choice for Owen Wilson to play in it. It is only the three children who get priority here and Wilson is more of a savior when it comes to good comedy again.

That good comedy only then comes from the children rather than from Wilson, because the experienced actors feel superfluous in a film that they should have lifted. The tone is nice and fresh, I must also say that I got through the film very quickly. It has everything to do with the fact that the passion and fun from the environment and young cast are very well brought to the fore.

Humor is bland but so rude that it constantly manages to catch on. Actually, I haven't had as much fun with a comedy in ages as I did with Drillbit Taylor. Sometimes you just need movies that do things in a nice and easy way and don't make many demands on it. In this film, that comes into its own and with a running time that is short enough, it is ideal for quick entertainment.
