Alibi plot
One day, Youssef, a smart and smart kid on the street, meets Rick who runs a thriving business dealing in alibis. Anyone who needs an excuse can order a watertight alibi from his office. Suspicious wives, annoying mothers-in-law or demanding bosses are then skilfully tricked. Youssef, for whom lying is second nature, fits in well with this company, but comes into conflict when he falls in love with Andrea, a waitress at a restaurant. Because Andrea, often cheated herself, never wants to start anything with a man who has something to hide or who lies. Rick convinces Youssef that every relationship benefits from the occasional white lie. But Andrea feels that in true love there is no room for deceit.

Meh, I honestly didn't like it much. There are moments in it that make me smile, but the effect is certainly not great. In addition, I am annoyed by Verbaan all the time. All in all a meager 2*.

Not a bad Dutch film at all. It's a bit bland, but the subject is still something to think about. I thought the cast was fine, only Georgina Verbaan overacting with the artificial tits. The film also contains its typical fun moments and the settings of sunny Amsterdam were also atmospheric. That fight at the end between Youssef and Rick was great. 
Great snack with a cheerful touch.

Youssef [Akhmed Akkabi] manages to get out of any difficult situation with smooth talk and white lies. When he helps waiter Andrea [Georgina Verbaan] with this, it does not go unnoticed. Rick [Frederic Brom] immediately offers him a job as someone who provides alibis for (mostly cheating) customers. At first it seems like a dream job for Youssef, but when he tries to win Andrea for him, she doesn't believe that he can be trusted at all. Unpretentious comedy with a lean screenplay, but Nijenhuis makes good use of the Amsterdam locations and Akkabi and Verbaan are charming in the lead roles. Egbert Jan Weeber has a funny role as Youssef's colleague, especially when he tries to play Youssef's brother.
