A fairly slow film that unfolds as a very nice thriller/mystery. TLJ who hunts everywhere with his grooved head and thick-wood-saw-men-plank method. Nothing wrong with that, until the denouement. Couldn't believe it. are three buddies, then suspicious, then innocent, then guilty no, that was a bit disappointing.

Nice video. No more unfortunately.

Not a really happy movie.

Actually especially worth the effort by Tommy Lee Jones. Haggis's idea was originally to have his part played by Clint Eastwood, but I think that would have made for a completely different film - and frankly I think Jones fits this story a lot better too, with his heavy-handed thump, like the proverbial rough shell of which you then have to wait and see what kind of spice it contains. Eastwood soon has something friendly. In comparison then.

There is, however, room for criticism of the story. This is often the case with films that are based on real events. Nothing but praise from my side, because as far as I can see little has been brightened up or dramatized - that's usually different. Especially with the denouement - which may seem a bit unbelievable, but it certainly isn't, and also follows reality in considerable detail.

Furthermore, not very striking - quite a few well-known actors are still involved, but they are mainly serving the story, it seems. Perhaps part of the message, in the US this film of course has a completely different meaning than here.
