The moment you have to start wondering what horror is, after you've seen 'Frailty', or Mother! with Jennifer Lawrence. Then look at l' interior.

This is the status quo in horror.

This is splatterpunk gorefest with no trashiness or exploitative behavior and a real test for your nerves. Uncompromisingly hard and terribly threatening, this film tears into your living room several times from 0 to 100 km in 2 seconds. With a small cast and a single location, Bustillo & Maury manage to deliver this simple story very effectively. And let you

then exhausted and longing behind.

Beatrice Dalle was the erotic pivot in the movie 37° 2 le matin (Betty Blue) although you wouldn't really indicate that in current photos of the actress that she was a model and sex symbol. For more than 20 years, she continues to have something mysterious, albeit now as a psychopathic murderess. The film is relatively short and does not mince words. Direct atmosphere and horror, no romance or silly humor.

The tone is soon set when the pregnant Sarah sits in her seat and you see the silhouette of the intruder behind her in the doorway and then disappear again. And once the game breaks loose, the maker knows well that the box is now open and you should no longer come up with surprises, but with hard horror. Even then you can feel what is to come and yet it remains exciting. No frills horror that is not for sensitive viewers.

À l'Interior

Explicit and very dark horror film. The French know how to handle these kinds of horror films, and À l'Intérieur is not a film for the faint of heart. Paradis and Dalle are on a roll, and especially Dalle knows how to put down a great psychopath. The characters sometimes do the silliest things, and especially towards the end the film goes a bit out of control (the 'zombie cop'). But the actresses and the dark and atmospheric cinematography make you want to keep watching how it ends. With a lot of blood and strong (and less strong) special effects.

Such a Horrorific intro to our film, it was Utterly Heartbreaking to see, even though there was a possible silver lining for our main character who happens to be a female. Looks like we have a problem developing now, and it doesn't look good for our main character at all.

Someone vile has made an appearance in the film, quite threatening in her actions so far. And said character is back again, and in an even more terrifying manner this time around. Wow... Such Glorious Mayhem, and so Brutal and Shameless in its pure Wanton Violence.
