Los Angeles is startled by a serial killer targeting gay prostitutes. Detective Raymond Vates and his partner Detective Tom Ellis are assigned to the case. Vates, hiding his homosexuality from his colleagues, soon meets Jack, the serial killer, who has Vates on his list as ultimate prey. When Jack steals the police badge from Vates and throws it at his next victim, it quickly becomes clear who's pulling the strings.
