Sick with sorrow, with guilt, with anger, with impotence, he approaches despair.

Little to add to the reviews above. The One Ring actually puts it perfectly. Strong film with a very stuffy atmosphere and great acting by Damian Lewis, whom I only knew from the Homeland series before. Spacious 4.0*, will soon have to go after Clean, Shaven.

Beautiful!

Well, beautiful might not be the right word. Heartbreaking? Secure. Mysterious? Also.

However, Keane will stay with me for one simple reason: Damian Lewis. Truly one of the most unparalleled acting performances I've ever seen.

Furthermore, it is a psychological joust in which the daughter is central. The film also leaves quite a bit in the dark, but I also thought that was very strong.

Spacious 3.5*

In addition to the atmospheric documentary realistic style, the effective construction is particularly striking here.

What is built up in the first half (a sketch of an apparently traumatized, unstable personality) pays off in the second. Kerrigan constantly manages to evoke a mixture of feelings of pity, unease and emotion, and keeps things exciting and unpredictable until the very end.

Craftsmanship, with a heart and a soul.
