This is still a wonderful movie. So nice done. Lots of humor and bad jokes. A nice 80's atmosphere. The special effects are very good for the time. And they still seem quite realistic. I continue to be amazed at that girl's big mouth with vampire teeth at the end of the film. Found this DVD for 1 euro at a flea market in Belgium. Well, this one stays in my collection.

wow! Originally, in 1985 or 1986, the intention was to see the film when it was in theaters, but something else intervened: Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Weird Science something like that. We are really working on the last inhalers and luckily I am pleasantly surprised by this beautiful vampire movie, with a great Roddy McDowal as a kind of Peter Cushing who suddenly finds himself facing a real vampire. Wonderful tribute.

Such a wonderful 80s film, I think the atmosphere and setting are very well done and the cast, especially Chris Sarandon, is doing great as the bad guy. The rest of the cast I sometimes think is very exaggerated, like Evil Ed, but that shouldn't spoil the fun, this is one of those films that you can enjoy watching every year for me. I really like the little references to Salem's Lot and Peter Vincent (Roddy McDowall) is a tribute to Peter Cushing and Vincent Price
