Strange hour and a half in which we are allowed to assist a sober law student during his new job as an assistant for the Great Buck. The humor was subtly poured in and the striking handshake remained cool. Malkovich is of course flawless again, always nice to run into Emily Blunt and Tom Hanks had a supporting role this time. The casting of the extras was remarkably good. It's nice to see Troy at the end as a spectator, where he still ends up with his mouth full of teeth. A nice small-scale drama.

Middle of the road.

Not a dramatically bad film, but also very inconspicuous and clearly looking for more identity. Fortunately, there is still Malkovich who knows how to give his role as the only real shine. The rest just stand there and watch.

The boy who doesn't know what to do with his life (and of course has to follow daddy's dream), the obligatory but very thin romance and the fin de career of Malkovich are all not that interesting. It is Buck Howard's own character that carries the film.

Such a film where the main character stays with and the rest will quickly fade, despite some nice cameos (Zahn). Tom Hanks' cameo made no sense by the way, as far as I'm concerned like father like son, both colorless.

2.0*

I had this one lying around for a while and gave it a try. I actually didn't think it was a bad movie. I didn't really know what to expect, but it was a fun movie. Not a top comedy, but I still had to laugh a few times, partly because of the excellent interpretation of John Malkovich.

Tom Hanks also participated, but this was only a very small role.

Furthermore, the film was not boring and the running time was also perfect, not too long and not too short.

I had no expectations for this film, but I thought it was a nice viewing experience, I have no complaints.
