The Pale Horse plot
"A Supernatural British Mystery Classic"
England 1964. A priest, who was on his way to the police after administering the last holy rites, is found murdered in a dark, deserted alley. At about the same time, a girl dies of an apparently serious illness. Mark Easterbrook is suspected of murdering the priest, as Mark's leather jacket and motorcycle were recognized by eyewitnesses. To prove his innocence, Mark, along with Kate, a friend of the deceased girl, sets out to unravel this mystery. The trail leads to three strange old ladies who seem to have knowledge of Voodoo. These 'witches' appear to have a suspicious influence on the mysterious accidents and mysterious illnesses that have taken place in the area. Film adaptation of the book of the same name by Agatha Christie.
