A weak movie. The script and acting are of a low standard and if you're making a film about this, don't be too squeamish as a filmmaker. This isn't really a horror and I didn't find it funny anywhere. You have bad movies and ridiculously bad movies that make it funny, this one falls into the former category. The intro is also very long and then you get a number of repetitions of moves.

Nice concept but not worth a full-length film in this way.

Mediocre.

Still, I have to say that I secretly had to laugh at the opening. This is exactly the kind of opening that would get a lot of angry Tweets in these days, but it still makes me laugh. Too bad this was Teeth's only really funny moment. Still a shame for an obvious horror comedy.

Teeth is an awkward film with a rather edgy concept. This is actually the biggest middle finger you can give to rapeculture. I can see the fun in it, but not in the way the film portrays it. Lichtenstein mainly works childishly and makes the film feel rather cinematic instead of really effective.

In any case, the acting is way below par. Weixler tries with all his might to be a fun main character but too often makes a strange face in the process and goes completely into overacting. The rest isn't necessarily better either. Lots of bald figures who often want to be funny, but really just aren't at all. In terms of comedy, there is little to laugh about.

The slow pace and the complete lack of proper direction are also killer. It all just looks so bare that it's hard to captivate. Furthermore, it also takes 45 minutes before we get to see the really nicer scenes, and that is quite long. All for that is a pretty boring introduction and long-winded attempts to build the story.

When it comes to horror, we are presented with some nice scenes, and they manage to save the film. Teeth doesn't like the rest, but once the concept itself is finally used, it's all worth it. It is a pity that little else is added via the director's chair and that the potential is not really used. Thus Teeth remains a somewhat tiresome horror comedy with a nice concept.

Apparently I didn't remember this one and now that I've seen it again, I know why. It really is (pretty) weak and poor horror-comedy, on both counts still firmly piped. And the cast, which was clearly also of a depressing level. The only bright spot is Jess Weixler, forgot how good it apparently was then, but that really doesn't save this failure, otherwise it would be very cheap. A 3/10 seems fair to me.
