Son of Rambow plot
"Make Believe. Not War."
Will is the son of a family belonging to a strict religious sect, where television, music and other worldly matters are taboo. However, when Will meets Carter, who grows up without parents and who messes up at school, his life changes completely. Together, the two boys want to make a remake of the movie Rambo: First Blood. But when a French exchange student wants to join in, their friendship is put to the test.

Mediocre film in which two boys, after seeing Rambo: First Blood, want to make their own action film. In itself a nice and fairly original idea, and the fact that the film is set during the first Rambo film also works to its advantage. Unfortunately, the effect is too much aimed at children. In my opinion, more attention should have been paid to the religious background of one of the two friends, or to the entire French exchange project.

Nice feel good movie. Thought it was nice to follow those guys to see what they came up with this time to finish their film. Some moments, like with that grandpa, were also very funny. The guys were very good. But the role of Didier was also nice.

Reasonable.
Yes, it remains a children's film, which I do not watch anyway. Only watched because of the role of Poulter, who is one of my favorite actors. Because of this you do get some kid jokes, but I didn't deduct any points for that.
Despite Poulter's pretty good role, that other guy was sometimes unbearable. Very irritating. Also in his role it was just irritating and the role of Didier wasn't that great either. Locations are reasonable but in the end quite simple.
Still a reasonable children's film, but not a high flyer. Fun to watch once.
