"Based on a true story."
Megan Paige is an extremely driven policewoman in the city of Rochester. Her fiancé Kenneth works for the same force. The two deal with a horrific case in which a 10-year-old girl was raped and murdered. It turns out to be a serial killer and Megan becomes completely obsessed with the case. So much so that she has delusions, becomes schizophrenic, breaks off her relationship and is admitted to an institution. Two years later, however, a similar murder takes place and the now reasonably recovered Megan will play a role.

This B-movie reached an excellent level!
The mediocre actress Dushku puts down an excellent acting performance in this film. As far as I'm concerned, this movie doesn't have an open ending.
The last 15 minutes there were a bit too many clichés,
but the closing scene indicated in an innovative way whether it was the schizophrenia that drove Dushku mad, or whether she was right,
I doubt between a 3 and a 3.5, benefit of the doubt then?

I was in the mood for a thriller, so I gave this one a try. I didn't think it was a bad movie. Not a masterpiece, but he quickly looked away.
The cast wasn't bad, not wow, but not bad either.
Nice to have seen, nothing special, but not bad.

The Alphabet Killer
A somewhat disappointing thriller with a slow build-up and a story that just doesn't want to get exciting. A hunt for a serial killer is supposed to deliver chilling thrills, but that's nowhere to be found in this film. The atmosphere itself is nice and gloomy and gray and Dushku does a nice job as a policewoman hunting the serial killer.
This Megan herself has quite a few psychological problems, but the how and why remains a mystery. The story flows slowly and you are actually waiting for the story to pick up a bit more momentum. At some point the perpetrator comes into the picture very emphatically, because the serial killer must of course be someone who is close to the lead actress... The ending is nice in itself, but exciting? No, not yet.
