"Another moment in ancient Rome's history where things don't turn out how you'd expect."
In the year 67 BC. Antigono, as ruler of Corinth, tries to impress the high ranking by all kinds of measures, including taxes from the people. He also wants to have a statue made in honor of the goddess Aphrodite and he enlists the help of sculptor Demetrio to realize this. Demetrio chooses the seductive slave girl Diana as a model, who soon conquers Antigono's heart.
