Bushi no Ichibun plot
Mitsumura is a low-ranking samurai. His job is to taste the daimyo's meals. He becomes poisoned and loses his sight forever. Shortly afterwards, his wife is raped by a higher-ranking samurai. Mitsumura fights to maintain his faith in the strict hierarchical samurai system.
