Captain Edward Hall returns to the US after two years in a prison camp during the Korean War. Here he was brainwashed and helped the Chinese to show other prisoners that they were fighting on the wrong side. Once back in the US, he is therefore charged with treason and collaboration with the enemy. But how far should patriotism go if you spend years in a living hell?
