"If you can see the future, you can save it."

Cris Johnson is a showroom illusionist in Las Vegas who lives with a haunting secret: he can see minutes into the future. As a child, he underwent numerous investigations set up by the government and the medical world, which naturally found him an interesting asset. Tired of this interest, he goes into hiding under an assumed name in Vegas where he makes a living from magic performances and small gambling winnings. But when a terrorist group threatens to detonate a nuclear storage unit in Los Angeles, government agent Callie Ferris sets out to track him down. It takes her a lot of effort to find Cris and convince him to help her stop this major disaster.

"The movie was predictable."

The first half of this movie was stronger than the second. The scene in the casino, where exactly he manages to escape, was very good and promising, but after that the movie drops. There are a number of question marks that you just can't get an answer to. First, it's pretty unclear to us why he's so vehemently against helping the FBI. Yes, there's that whole "they weren't nice in the past" story, but that's all a bit succinct. In addition, the FBI is also acting like a bunch of idiots in their search for him. It's totally exaggerated and unnecessary.

Also, the ending was quite rushed and suddenly vague. Open endings are fine, if you actually have several options afterwards to think about and philosophize about further. This ending, however, was already pretty obvious, but it would have been more satisfying if the ending had come into play as well. If you're going to make a gooey Hollywood movie anyway, extend it to the end. They shouldn't pretend it's a difficult and psychologically complex film: it's an entertaining story, but that's where it ends.

What a bunch of nonsense this movie is. The concept may be nice, but the execution is a complete disaster. The film does not have a single highlight or a scene that will stay with you for a long time. It's all crammed into an hour and a half, a romance that goes nowhere, a bunch of villains even dumber than the Beagle Boys from Donald Duck, and a terrible cast.

Nicolas Cage is once again acting like a plastic doll, Jessica Biel doesn't do much better and the role of Julianne Moore is a blot on her resume.

The only thing that saves the film from total destruction is that there is a lot of momentum in the film, the film has a high pace from start to finish.

Other than that, it's all ten times nothing.

Spacious insufficient.

Mediocre.

A rather unpublished trio of actors hops a bit from hop to her. The film isn't bad at all, but it doesn't impress either. The action is not much, but of course that has something to do with the gift of Nicolas Cage's character, which gives it a twist, but also possibly. loses tension. Fortunately it doesn't take very long.

2.5
