Dixie plot

"IT'S BING'S BEST!"

A young songwriter leaves his hometown in Kentucky to seek his fortune in New Orleans. Eventually he ends up in New York, where he can sell the pieces of music he has composed to a publisher. However, he refuses to sell his masterpiece, called 'Dixie'. This film is based on the life of Daniel Decatur Emmett, the composer of the famous music piece 'Dixie'.
