Clarissa plot

Clarissa Harlowe is a young, middle-class British woman in the eighteenth century. However, her family has plans to enter the aristocratic circles and they therefore want to marry her off to Mr. soames. With the help of the handsome Mr. Lovelace (Sean Bean) Clarissa manages to escape her cruel fate. But once away from home, she is at the mercy of Mr. Lovelace, and what his intentions are is a mystery.
