The umpteenth Slee film adaptation I see, and again junk. Then why do I keep watching them? Well, sometimes you do.
A moralistic story as is often the case with Slee, with a boy and girl, each with their own problems. In fact, it's always the same story. Just Regret! had a third more, but the rest is completely interchangeable and you always watch the same movie.
None of that gets special anywhere; moderately filmed, dance scenes are nowhere exciting and the music is crap. But what just kills the film are the ridiculous lyrics and the weak actors who can't do anything with it. Someone like Veeger is fresh to look at, but she really can't act, like the entire cast actually. It's just camp, you rarely see it so laughably bad. This is not acting (empathizing with a character) but just lapping up texts, and also as if they are seeing it for the first time. And then the whole body postures, the way they walk, how they stand. Nothing that has anything of quality anywhere.
Then the moral can still be quite encouraging, but if you tell it so badly and lie on top of it, you can no longer take it seriously. 0.5*.

OK.
Once again a film that has a typical Carry Slee story and therefore takes everything with it again. It is rare that one of these films actually succeeds in its purpose. This one is unfortunately no exception.
Bad acting by actors who later became big. A pity, because there are a few that really can do something (Klaver and Van de Sande Bakhuyzen). The message may be there, but it is not credible anywhere. The characters do too stupid things, behave abnormally and not for a moment is it believable.
For the rest it looks pretty nice and fortunately there are subjects in it that are not shunned too much. Although the children are more likely to swallow this, adults are better off skipping these kinds of things.

A real "mini joke drum film" for youth up to 6 years old about 'youth stuff' such as XTC pills and the like...
Funny thing is there is no acting.
It is read...
So 3 stars because you keep watching anyway.
