The Great Rupert plot
"Christmas miracles do happen"
mr. Amendola (Jimmy Durante) is the leader of a bankrupt theater group, who suddenly finds a large sum of money that turned out to be hidden in his house. The authorities suspect Mr. Amendola at first of theft, but in reality the money is a gift from Rupert, a generous and big-hearted squirrel. After everything is set right, Mr. Amendola back on the scene, this time with his new colleague Rupert.
