El Año de la Peste plot
A terrible disease is found in a Mexican town. A doctor discovers that this disease could be epidemic and have major consequences for humanity. He then tries to inform the authorities about this and get them to take action. However, no one wants to listen to the doctor and that has the consequence that the epidemic starts to spread. Only then will the government take action to regulate reporting about the epidemic, with the aim of preventing widespread panic.
