Strange movie. At least original as far as I'm concerned (also seen Exam but comparing it, no, not really).

Starts off very well, although some conversations move a bit quickly (for me). The viewer, just like the participants, is left in uncertainty and you are constantly wondering what is true and what is not.

The subplot and half the main thread through the film about the riots in the streets also missed the mark. Of course it was related to the affair of the two gentlemen, but otherwise hardly. The love story could also have been transformed into a more exciting storyline. In any case, a little more tension wouldn't have done the film any harm. The film also lasts a bit too long. The best thing would have been to take out the more boring parts and shorten the film a bit.

Please note; These are small minuses and/or points for improvement. The rest is just great. High-level acting, good camera switching and at certain moments the film takes you all the way to the office room. Very nicely done. And a nice secretary

I was dreading this, but it turned out to be a great stroke of luck. A pleasant "talking film" that takes place in a meeting room. In that sense it was a bit like 12 Angry Men (1957). 7 applicants are put together and have to compete against each other until one remains who gets the job. Kind of like Big Brother. The situation in the film is very extreme, but these types of group applications are not strange. Where Deux Jours, Une Nuit (2014) exposes a dismissal process, this film does the same with an application process.

In the background you can see that this film criticizes these types of application processes in which competition is decisive. The anti-capitalist message can also be discovered in this, the disadvantages of extreme capitalism are always discussed (a man's world, environmental damage, layoffs, competing against each other, the damage that the IMF has caused among the Argentine population, and the winner almost has to seem to go by emotionally breaking the last opponent).

The acting is very strong, but Ernesto Alterio ("Enrique") did not convince me with his character. The film has strong dialogues and the tense atmosphere comes across well. The camera work is also special, the beginning seemed like a simple trick, but the one with the surveillance cameras was very nicely done. A very interesting film. Big 3.5*

Fun psychological games, enhanced by the fact that the film takes place in one location. This creates a somewhat stuffy atmosphere and fits perfectly with the group work. It is very interesting to see how people behave in a situation where they are challenged in a 'professional manner' (after all, this is a management position).

The dialogues are strong, but weaken as the film progresses. That's a shame, as the tension should actually increase. It becomes a bit too long-winded and loses focus. The ending is fascinating, but you still have the feeling that it could have been even more intense.
