The Whispering Chorus plot
"A picture that will live in your memory!"
John Trimble has embezzled a large sum of money and, in order to assume a new identity, has a mutilated corpse buried in his place. However, he is later arrested for murder. His mother asks him to keep his true identity a secret, because his wife has meanwhile married the governor and is expecting a child from him.
