The Duke Wore Jeans plot
Tony Whitecliffe (Tommy Steele) is a young nobleman who wants to marry his secret love. He therefore tries to escape the arranged marriage with someone of his rank. With the help of his new friend Tommy Hudson (also Tommy Steele) he escapes and ends up in the banana republic of Rittalia. Poor Tony soon finds himself in a web of political intrigue, but is also allowed to meet the beautiful Princess Maria there.
