Baltimore, 1968. An accidental collision brings two aluminum representatives into conflict. BB is a sweet talker, Tilley a corpulent nerve. Tin Men is a very funny comedy that relies on the sharp dialogues and the special interaction between De Vito and Dreyfuss. They sometimes work on the cutting edge and that occasionally results in hilarious moments.
Levinson is forgiven for cramming in a slightly too long middle section, making the film a bit too long for a comedy.

Good film in which a car accident unleashes a feud between two sellers of aluminum for house facades. The film is set in 1963 and gives a nice picture of the time (especially because of the Cadillac's). Entertaining dialogues, especially the conversations with colleagues. Besides that Richard Dreyfuss and Danny DeVito are well cast, they also play their roles well.

Tin Men relies on the fine dialogues and owes a lot to De Vito's top performance. However, I expected some more funny situations from the conflict between the two. The life lesson here is that the small quarrel is actually insignificant compared to the real setbacks in life. Not bad, but because of the high numbers, it's below my expectations.
