I am really annoyed by the bad acting of Johanna ter Steege and Jeroen Krabbé, especially their vocabulary expressions are excruciatingly bad.
Historically speaking, very little of the film is accurate, although there are some nice points that are correct.
I have to say that Immortal Beloved is almost a one-on-one copy of Die ganze Wahrheit, from 1985. Which I liked much better.
I give this movie 1 star, for the effort, and Isabella Rossellini 1.5 stars.

A decent biopic about Beethoven, which relies heavily on Gary Oldman's excellent performance. Unfortunately, it's more fiction than reality, and it's doubly unfortunate that Beethoven's beautiful music is neglected. I had expected, and at least hoped, that there would be more attention paid to his music.

A fun film about the search for the woman who made a lasting impression on Beethoven. While not overflowing with spectacular twists and turns or ingenuity, it's still entertaining. Much of this is thanks to Gary Oldman's excellent performance, but the supporting cast is also well-deserved. The period is well-crafted, the music is beautiful, and the concept is a compelling starting point. All in all, decent entertainment, especially for those interested in the legendary composer.
