"Censorship, uncensored."
Documentary in which director Kirby Dick tries to provide insight into the American film rating system of the MPAA organization that was created for this purpose. Dick argues that this organization is not only in the hands of the big studios, but also has a great influence on culture in America, by wanting to show certain things and not others. For example, a homosexual scene is addressed earlier than a comparable heterosexual scene, and sex is generally treated more puritanically than scenes of violence.
