Willy Reilly and His Colleen Bawn plot

Willy Reilly saves the life of Squire Folliard, who was threatened by the bandit Red Rapparee. Reilly meets Helen, Folliard's daughter, and falls in love with her. However, Folliard only wants a Protestant as a husband for his daughter. Reilly saves the family once again from an attack by the bandit, but that's not enough to win Folliard's trust. Sir Robert Whitecraft, who is a Protestant, is also after Helen and a battle ensues between the two men.
