Cinema, Aspirinas e Urubus plot

1942. Johann is a German deserter who has fled to Brazil. He has found work as a traveling salesman in aspirin. He drives a truck from village to village to sell his goods to the local - and often still disadvantaged - population. He always shows a promotional video before he starts his sale; a short film that highlights worldly life in Rio and the wonders aspirin can do for the consequences of a too worldly life. The lonely Johann sometimes takes days to drive from one village to another in the desolate and inhospitable interior of Brazil. One day he meets Ranulpho, a man who wants to leave his parched and futureless region at all costs. Randulpho will start with helping Johann with his film projections and sales. As they get along, a somewhat strange bond develops between the two characters. Strange, because both are opposites, but their goal is the same: to leave their past behind.
