Now knowing what the story brings and what comes next, tried again. And especially the difference with whom you look at it, the first time with someone whose shoes almost popped open because of the bent toes, now the second time with someone who certainly saw the humor in certain things. And that makes a difference, then you get into a certain flow and it is quite a humorous film at times.

Actually, I can be very brief about this: if you already hate Step Brothers, then I advise you to avoid Talladega Nights. However, if you did enjoy Step Brothers, there's a real chance you'll enjoy it. Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly play similar characters and the hysterical humor that comes with it is a must. I'm not always a fan of it, but I usually get it right with Ferrell. There were several scenes where I really struggled and that was quite some time ago (for example, I laughed a lot when Ferrell crashes for the first time and also when he wants to prove in the hospital that he is still is paralyzed 
). That the story of this film continues according to a formula that everyone here has seen before is therefore not so bad. I don't like Baron Cohen much, but his exaggerated character was still appropriate in this circus. Also nice to see Michael Clarke Duncan again, just like in A Night at the Roxbury.

Reasonable film about a man whose life revolves around speed as a NASCAR driver. It is often about nothing, but there is more than enough to laugh (often for that very reason). A bit on the long side (I've seen the uncut version), especially considering the simple story. Nice characters filled in by a nice cast.
