I must say that I really liked the beginning and that the luck and bad luck that Lohan and Pine continuously know were handled quite nicely. There are some funny elements in this movie and Lohan in particular seems very similar to Just My Luck. Unfortunately I can't say that about Chris Pine. His whole character actually hated me and I just didn't believe him. In the end, he is much too slick boy to pass for unlucky. Then I would rather end up with types like Jason Biggs.

In the end, quite an entertaining film, just a shame that 1 of the 2 other halves ruined the film a bit.

2.5*

I don't understand why people in this genre still 'complain' about predictability. If you turn on such a film, you already know in advance what you will be seeing. For unpredictability we have to look in another genre I think. I thought the movie was fine, not excellent, but fine. The acting was decent, not very high, not very low. In fact, everything about this film is a bit average, nothing really stands out. I really liked the ending, you saw it coming at some point, but it's not an end that you see happening from minute one. In the end just a pass, it won't stay with me very long, but I had a great time for once. 3*.

Just My Luck

Lindsay Lohan shows what she has/had (eternal sin), but for the rest it's a mediocre nothing. The film follows the regular pattern of any other romantic comedy, but does so without too much humor or inspiration. The story itself is quite nice and the "lucky switch" provides some nice moments. Lohan and Pine don't have great chemistry, although their separate scenes do provide some entertaining moments.
