Je Chanterai pour Toi plot
This film tells about the life of the Malian guitarist Boubacar Traoré or the Black Presley. In the early 1960s he sang about the benefits of Mali's independence. On Malian radio, his songs such as "Mali Twist" and "Kayes-Ba" called on his fellow citizens to go to work, and called on Malian emigrants to return to their country to help build the country. However, the coup of 1968 put an end to the illusion that the country was free. Boubacar then leaves for Paris in exile in order to survive. Twenty years later, he makes his comeback. Through his life and music, the viewer discovers not only part of Mali's history, but also that of Africa.
