"Everyone Believes in Something"

What do the American flag and a painting by Rembrandt have in common with a machine to catch lightning and a capsule to launch into space? They are all objects with 'mana', objects to which people attribute power. Mana is the Polynesian word for the power contained in objects. According to the makers, all these objects are connected by the belief that people attach to them.
